This week, in the spirit of giving, I wanted to share some of my favorite authors and articles about Christmas, Advent and peace. Some of these ladies I have partnered with or met this year, some I have admired from a distance. Each have affected me by their writing or intentional approach to thoughtful and faithful Christian living in a world where what’s popular isn’t always what’s wise, even within Christian writing.
But more often than not, I’ve found such depth, encouragement and intentionality in all the writers I have “met”.
And in my first full year of blogging the 3 greatest highlights have been:
- The multitude of encouraging, supportive, helpful bloggers out there, answering everyone’s questions and wanting to help them communicate God’s Word in them as best as they can!
- The quiet side conversations I’ve heard from readers, “Thanks for putting into words what I’ve been feeling or believe too, when I couldn’t. It is soooo nice to know I’m not alone.”
- Seeing pictures or hearing stories of our ornaments and resources being used in homes around the world where new traditions centered around God’s Word and worship are being born! What unexpected blessings!
I hope you will open my gift to you by perusing through the list and “opening” up the grace-filled words of wisdom and fun ideas I’ve chosen for you!

Now this is a list that I needed to see and read. Going to save this so I can pick out several.
I’m so honored to be a part of this incredible roundup — thank you! I pinned it so I can come back and read more!
I wrote this Nativity-centered Left Right Christmas game adapting the scriptures in Luke 1 and 2 for a fun gift exchange game. It’s a great alternative to gift games that involve stealing gifts from others (often resulting in hurt feelings). It’s also a fun way to give away door prizes at a Christmas party. https://womensministrytoolbox.com/left-right-nativity-game/
I read through it – what a cute idea! Thanks for sharing this here!
This list offers great resources for adults throughout the holiday season. I like how they are broken down into various categories.
Thanks! That’s how I’d want to look at a long list of suggestions! 😉 Hope you find something meaningful and helpful!
